Know how much you poured.
WineGotcha measures a wine pour with your phone's camera, using a credit card for scale. No jigger, no kitchen scale, no guessing.
Illustration of the idea. The glass and card are drawn to the same scale.

Every credit card is the same size, 85.6 by 54 millimeters. That makes it a free ruler you already carry.
Stand it next to the glass in view of the camera. The app uses the card's known size to work out real-world scale, with no extra gear.
WineGotcha finds the card and the glass, then locates the wine's surface line, the meniscus, using color and edge detection.
From the card's scale and the height of the surface, it works out how much is in the glass, in ounces or milliliters.
We're still tuning accuracy across glass shapes and lighting. WineGotcha is in active development and isn't on the App Store yet.
A 750 ml bottle is about 25 ounces. At 5 oz a glass, that's five pours. At 6 oz, it's four and a splash.
Whether you're watching how much you drink at home, trying to pour consistently at a tasting, or keeping a bar's cost honest, the glass makes it hard to tell. A wide bowl hides the difference. WineGotcha shows it.
WineGotcha runs on PourIQ, our computer-vision measurement technology. It reads scale from a reference object, finds the surface of the liquid, and turns what the camera sees into a volume.
We're building PourIQ as a foundation rather than a one-off feature. As it matures, the same engine can power pour-accuracy tools for bars, restaurants, and tasting rooms.
Send us a note and we'll tell you when testing opens. Put WineGotcha in the subject line.
